I think this is the right spot........Newbie to the forum.

So i posted this in the section at first soooo sorry about that one, but I am from the Metro Detroit area. I am new to the forums, basically just looking around and seeing what other RL and SS owners have done to their cars so I can get some ideas. Well I bought an RL in the summer of 2009, Its a 2006 with the silver nickel paint, its literally my child. I have no mods done to the car since i am going to school in the U.P. and potentially a transfer to MSU so money is short, hence why I still have not modded my car. I am not a big fan of modding to begin with but somethings I would like to do.....Stage 2 pulley. One thing i am going to do is the Stage 1 Clutch this summer. I will try and get some pictures up but I also dont have a camera so it may take a while. When I was thirteen I remember my aunt whom works at GM showing me the RL and i instantly have loved the car. Naturally I searched and searched for the perfect one. Sadly since I go to school in the U.P. and snow is so heavy I took the car home. Over that period I hit black ice and went up a curb and nicked a tree causing some damage to the front bumper cover. I shed a small tear and the plastic underneath was in need of attention. Luckily i spent three days under the car repairing to the best of my abilities. Its hard to tell anything is wrong but once you get close to the bumper you can see where the damage is.
and my favorite pic.

Whatsup? Glad to see you joined this site. (its not a clusterfuck like RLF) and where is that second pic taken at? I have yet to find a good dirt road...
Bout the bumper same thing kinda sorta happened. had a big chunk out of it from previous owner, fixed it all nice, then AMC-Gratiot moron syndrome hit someone and they hit me.

Welcome to our site... You say you don't like modding now..... But spend long enough time here and then see everyones cars. I bet you're going to have a slight change of heart.
Before you go in to doing any bolt on mods, read on here and post questions so we can hook you up with the best bang for your buck. We know a lot of places to get certain things as well as directions to take for the most power for the cheapest price.
If it's been done to a LSJ(your motor) we have done it here.

Tubber- that pic was taken in Marquette on the decent of Marquette mt. the road is a playground for driving. a little bit tricky esp since the trees are around you. but its definitely on the best roads to mess with.
Smokin- there are certain bolt-on's i would like to install on to my car but its been a constant battle with money. But im sure i will be asking about the different options and the best bang for my buck. i will keep this in mind.

well my clutch is going, its the original clutch and the owner i think didnt take great care of the car. cause it had some interior issues and smelled like some serious cigar smoke. so i thought i would start out with replacing the clutch with the gmpp stage clutch.

If you're going to buy a clutch and want it to be a nice clutch and last buy nothing but spec clutches. They are the best clutch.

no the GMPP clutch always f***s up, and if your gonna get a clutch might as well have its max load more than 300tq, alot of people that get that clutch always have the same issues with it where it engaging point is basically on the floor, or it wont go into gears are random rpms. just go with the tried and true SPEC

The GMPP clutches are garbage.. If that's all you can afford then fine go with it.. But you pay for what you get. And if you plan on putting some decent mods on the car in the future do the trans once and do it right. Trust me you're not going to want to pull it apart more then once unless you have too.
BlueCobaltSS what mods do you have on your car again? Isn't is pretty much stock?

But...but... CSS.net told me the stock clutches were garbage and would be worn out in the first 5-10k miles!! You guys must be lying!
I have over 46k on mine and no problems so far, but my car is stock.
